How is the Coronavirus Changing Consumer Behavior in the U.S.?

Coresight Research reports that the Coronavirus outbreak is affecting over one-quarter of U.S. consumers.

How many U.S.consumers are changing their behavior due to the Coronavirus outbreak? That’s the question Coresight Research asked 1,934 U.S. Internet users aged 18+ who were surveyed in February 2020.

Here are the results: Over one-quarter, 27.5% to be exact, of respondents said that the coronavirus outbreak is prompting them to currently avoid, or limit their visits to public areas. And 58% expect to do the same if the outbreak worsens in the U.S.

This seems to be bad news for retailers and beauty brands, especially if they’re in shopping malls. E-commerce brands, however, may benefit.
